Fundraising Standards Board
SOME IMPORTANT QUESTIONS
What qualifies as "voluntary work"?

How much voluntary work is permitted?

Can expenses be claimed and what is covered?

Are you sincere about volunteering?

Which area of voluntary work appeals to you?

How much time can you give?

WHAT IS NOT PERMITTED

Door to door collection and / or promotion (unless authorised and cleared by Fundraising Officers).

Street Can / Bucket Collections (unless official permission has been sought by the Fundraising Officer).

Arranging or holding events without prior agreement of the Fundraising Officers.

Though these may seem obvious it is, nevertheless, important that we observe them. Charity organisations, like Tak Tent, are strictly reviewed by the Scottish Charities Regulator and Cancer Support Scotland (Tak Tent) is rightly proud of its reputation and is anxious to maintain it at all times.
