| Tak Tent's logo is the four-pointed knot, signifying the four main needs of the cancer patient: the physical, psychological, the emotional and spiritual. |

It also signifies the four main methods of cancer treatment: surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy and hormone therapy. |
The knot is bound together by an 'O' to represent oncology - the study and treatment of tumours.

Support for Everyone
People often have difficulty in coming to terms with the diagnosis of cancer. Both the patients and their families may want information about their disease and treatment. For this reason, Tak Tent provides accurate and up to date information to patients and relatives, free of charge. Tak Tent also provides complementary therapies and therapeutic counselling for everyone on the cancer journey. |
The Tak Tent Groups
The Tak Tent Groups provide a time and place where you can have time to talk, share experiences, meet new friends and be with people who can honestly say 'we know how you feel'. Our groups for young adults - conTAK - also offer support that fulfils individual needs, as well as company and understanding. If you would like to know more about us, please contact the office, or a group facilitator near you.
